Built for how Surrey actually renovates

Surrey is the busiest renovation market in the Lower Mainland. Basement suites getting legalized in Newton and Whalley, older ranchers in Fleetwood and Guildford being gutted, brand‑new builds in Clayton and Grandview Heights generating construction waste by the tonne. Every one of those projects needs a disposal bin that shows up on time and fits on the driveway.

That's what we do. Summit Waste Disposal runs roll‑off bins sized for Surrey lots — an 8 yard fits on a standard driveway with the garage still usable, a 15 yard handles a full‑house clearout. You pick the size and date, we deliver, you fill it, we haul it to a licensed Metro Vancouver transfer station.

No quote back‑and‑forth. The price you see on this page is the price for Surrey, delivery and pickup included.

Where the bin can go in Surrey

Ninety percent of Surrey bins sit on a driveway and need nothing from the City. Here's the rest.

01 — DRIVEWAY

Private property: no permit, no wait

Driveway, parking pad, front yard, back lane on your side of the property line — all fine. We need roughly 3.5 m of width and about 12 m of straight‑line clearance for the truck to back in. Overhead lines and low branches matter more than you'd think; mention them at checkout.

Driveway protection boards go down on every delivery. Pavers and stamped concrete included.

02 — STREET

City road or boulevard: permit required

The City of Surrey requires an application at least 5 working days ahead for any bin on a roadway, boulevard or sidewalk, plus a liability certificate naming the City. They'll want 4 m of clear road for emergency vehicles, and won't approve spots inside cul‑de‑sac bulbs or within 9 m of an intersection.

If you can't avoid the street, book us first and call — we'll walk you through the timing.

03 — STRATA & TOWNHOUSE

Visitor stalls and common property

Townhouse complexes across Clayton, Sullivan and Fleetwood usually require strata approval before a bin lands in a visitor stall. One email to your property manager saves a failed‑delivery fee. Tell us the complex name and stall number at checkout.

04 — WHERE IT GOES

Licensed Metro Vancouver disposal

Surrey loads go to a licensed Metro Vancouver transfer station — for most of the city, that's the Surrey facility off 192 Street. Wood, metal, cardboard and clean drywall get diverted from landfill. Pre‑1990 drywall may need asbestos testing before it's accepted; tell us the age of the house and we'll sort it.

Permit conditions are set by the City of Surrey and can change. Confirm current requirements on surrey.ca before applying.

What goes in

Load it right, pay the flat price

Prohibited items get refused at the transfer station and come back to you with a surcharge. Declare heavy material up front and there are no surprises.

What to expect

Booked to hauled in four steps

  1. Book online, any hour

Pick size and dates, drop a pin on where the bin goes, add your card. Confirmation lands in your inbox in seconds. Late‑night booking gets the next open Surrey window.

  2. We text when we're 30 minutes out

You don't need to be home. Driveway boards go down, bin goes exactly where you marked, door faces the way you asked.

  3. Fill it — up to 7 days

Keep it level with the rim. Need more time? $20 a day, no re‑booking. Filled it early? Text us and we'll pull it sooner.

  4. We haul, you get the receipt

Load goes to a licensed Metro Vancouver transfer station. If you're under your weight allowance, the flat price is the final price.

Surrey FAQ

Questions Surrey customers ask before booking

Flat rates: 8 yard $399, 10 yard $449, 12 yard $499, 15 yard $549, all plus GST. That includes delivery and pickup anywhere in Surrey, up to 7 days on site, disposal up to your weight allowance and driveway boards. Heavy material like concrete or drywall is priced separately.

Not if it sits on your own driveway or property. The City of Surrey requires a permit only when the bin goes on a road, boulevard or sidewalk — and that takes at least 5 working days plus insurance paperwork. Keep it on the driveway and you skip all of it.

Often, yes. We run Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm, and book same‑day when a truck and bin are free. Book before noon for the best odds. Otherwise you'll get next‑day, and you choose the window at checkout so there's no guessing.

A 12 yard covers most Surrey suite gut‑outs — flooring, drywall, cabinets and fixtures from a 600–800 sq ft suite. A cosmetic refresh (paint, flooring, a bathroom) fits a 10. If you're also removing concrete or a lot of drywall, tell us and we'll price the weight up front.

We put protection boards under the rails on every delivery — standard, not an add‑on. Pavers, stamped concrete and fresh asphalt all get the same treatment. In the middle of summer we'll ask you to hose down brand‑new asphalt before we arrive.

Overage is $0.25 per pound, billed to the card on file after the transfer station weighs the load. Weight allowances run from 1,000 lbs on the 8 yard to 2,500 lbs on the 15. Regular reno debris almost never goes over; soil, concrete and wet drywall do, which is why we price those separately.

Yes — same price as the rest of Surrey. We've got local pages for Cloverdale and South Surrey with placement tips for those areas.

We take a card at booking through a secure checkout — that's what lets us confirm your bin instantly instead of trading emails. Contractors and commercial accounts doing repeat work can ask about invoicing terms.
